Our company having started a new cooperation with the company MIRACLE SHIPPING – TURKEY and we are pleased to be able to provide services for the compliance with NOTING RESOLUTION MEPC.269(68) by which adopted Guidelines for the development of the Inventory of hazardous materials.
Miracle Shipping team can provide recommendations for developing the Inventory of Hazardous Materials to assist compliance with regulation 5 Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM) of the Hong Kong International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships, 2009. During the course of IHM surveys performed by MIRACLE SHIPPING in relation to these services, MIRACLE SHIPPING will research hazardous materials identified in table A and B of appendix 1 of the IMO RESOLUTION MEPC 269/68.
These guidelines have been developed to provide relevant stakeholders (e.g. shipbuilders, equipment suppliers, repairers, shipowners and ship management companies) with the essential requirements for the practical and logical development of the Inventory.
The objectives of the Inventory are to provide ship-specific information on the actual hazardous materials present on board, in order to protect health and safety and to prevent environmental pollution at ship recycling facilities. This information will be used by the ship recycling facilities in order to decide how to manage the types and amounts of materials identified in the Inventory of Hazardous Materials (regulation 9 of the Convention).
We would be happy to answer any questions or clarifications concerning the above services and we can develop an appointment with representative of Miracle Shipping for further discussions .
